Every product should we humans manufacture should have 2 indexes:
  • sustainability index
  • toxicity index
They can be calculated by dividing lifespan of a product by time it takes for our ecosystem to replenish resources (or safely dispose of toxins). So index of 1 and above means that product is sustainable and 'safe' and the lower the index the more unsustainable product is.
