Day in Bikaneer started with visiting Bikaneer Fort. Last Rajah of Bikaneer was apparently well respected person, there are signs of opulence everywhere: one of windows is decorated with tiles from Holland, and plenty of photograph Rajah with Queen of England and Rajah in Versalles, and at negotiations of India independence. Reign of last Rajah ended when I was 1 year old!
Note that some of pictures were taken in off-limit for tourists galleries - it is off tourist season in Bikaneer, guards are bored and one let us to explore 'closed' palace passages out kindness of heart. He was proud of India heritage and wanted us to see beautiful decorations so he let us sneak past guarding ropes :)
